Although I studied Computer in Tsinghua University for 5 years, I had never used Oracle until 1996. Since then, I have been using Oracle (7, 8 and 9) among different companies in different countries including Singapore, US and Canada. I have attended lots of Oracle trainings (spent quite a lot of money from companies) and became an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP DBA) in 1999. I am currently working in Rogers. I really enjoy reading 2 Oracle gurus books and blogs (Tom Kyte and Jonathan Lewis). My favorite Oracle websites are: metalink.oracle.com, asktom.oracle.com, www.orafaq.com and www.dbazine.com. In early 2006, I got my MBA from Schulich School of Business, York University. Therefore, I became a MDBA or DMBA (MBA + DBA) or whatever you call it.

As most entrepreneurs from China, I was educated to be a programmer or engineer, and get my master degree on computer science in China. In 1999, I joined venture with 3 excellent people and started “Ejunction Technology Inc.” in Waterloo, Ontario. Although the company didn’t survive the “dot-com bubble”, the experience is quite valuable. In 2005, I started to work on “BusyTeam.com”, which provides on-demand programming and IT consulting services for small to medium size companies. With 6-year experiences of programmer and project manager, and 6-year experiences of entrepreneurship, I am very happy to find friends with similar experiences and similar ambitions here in ACSIP.

Fred Lu is an experienced software architect with concentrations on the IBM WebSphere, Portal and Tivoli Security products and technologies. As a solution architect in IBM Canadian software group, Mr. Lu has been working in the Information technology field since 1992 and has many years experiences on enterprise solution architecture and design for government, e-commerce, telecom, finance, insurance and media publication sectors.
Mr. Lu holds a MBA degree from Schulich School of Business (Canada) and a Bachelor degree on computer science from Tsinghua University (China).
